Afro - Caribbean Dance for Older People

In this class, we celebrate the culture and rhythms of CUBA, BRAZIL, and HAITI. A little slower, less vigorous does not mean less powerful or elegant. The class is geared for those over 45 but everyone is welcome- Absolute beginner to low intermediate level. Each class begins with a thorough warm-up of flexibility, strengthening, and balance exercises followed by simple Carnaval-type choreography.

Chair Yoga

Break up your Monday with a full-body reset! This chair yoga class for every body incorporates asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork), and dhyana (meditation) practices adapted to the chair to maintain balance and strength. Practice involves sitting on and standing behind a chair. Great for all bodies that spend any hours sitting in a chair, standing at a counter, are recovering from injury or surgery, or for those who cannot sit or kneel on the floor. Non-heated practice for all levels. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Join the community in studying yoga together, known as sangha!

Break up your week with a semi-private workshop! All levels — from beginner yoga to prenatal yoga to seasoned practitioners (Level 2/3) — are welcome to attend this class. Build or maintain strength and mobility. Improve posture, circulation, and sleep. Integrate routine stress management into your lifestyle. Dive deeper into the monthly asana theme that Rowena teaches across all studios such as headstand, hip openers, arm balances, and more. Modifications are offered to support each student's needs and deepen their yoga asana (postures) practice. Classes include pranayama (breathwork) and self-myofascial release therapy techniques. Non-heated practice for all levels. Join the community in studying yoga together, known as sangha!

Embodied Self- Inquiry with the Feldenkrais Method

Each class offers tools to do that, with a Feldenkrais movement lesson, where we playfully explore our physical sensory world, and meditative inquiry practices as opportunities for these explorations to grow.

Encore Community Class NI

This class is designed for people who have difficulty getting up and down.  The stretches are done while seated in a chair, and the last 10 minutes focus on gentle movement to release and relax the body.

Yoga for Fertility Care

Because fertility is cumulative — it takes up to a year for an egg to fully develop and three months for sperm to mature — the care you give your body today shapes your reproductive health weeks, months and years from now. This semi-private yoga class uses the 8 limbs of yoga to help you routinely manage stress from high-intensity exercise or life responsibilities, promote circulation to reproductive organs, and build a strong foundation for reproductive health — whether you're preserving your fertility for the future, trying to conceive, in the middle of IUI or IVF, or recovering from egg retrieval or embryo transfer. This class also supports menstrual health and cycle syncing. Non-heated practice without inversions, twists, or high impact pelvic movement. A welcoming, affirming space for all sexes and genders, solo or partnered, at any stage of the journey.

Hip Hop Cardio

Hip-Hop Cardio is a dance workout class suitable for all levels and ages! This class is broken down into three fifteen-minute cardio sections with water breaks in between.  The final fifteen minutes are dedicated to a cool-down and stretch that allows you to balance out your body before starting your day.  This class is no stress, lots of fun, and guaranteed to make you sweat!!
